I never planned to write ICAN.
After graduating with a 2:1 in Accounting from Babcock University, I just wanted to be done with school. I barely studied before exams and still passed, so I thought I knew enough.
Then reality hit.
At my first job interview, I couldn’t answer basic accounting questions. I struggled to recall what IFRS even meant. I left that room embarrassed, realizing I had a degree but no real knowledge.
That’s when I made a decision: If I wanted to succeed, I had to become a better accountant. And ICAN was the way.
But the journey wasn’t easy. I failed all 5 papers in my first diet. I drank coffee to stay awake, spent late nights cramming, and still walked into the exam hall with zero confidence. I failed over and over, 17 papers in total.
Until I changed my approach.
